RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR USE OF THE FACILITIES 2007
- All persons using Club facilities do so at their own risk. The Club will not be responsible for loss or damage to any personal property. Cost of any damage to Club property by a member or guest will be charged to the responsible party.
- The rules apply to members, their families and guests. Parents are asked to inform their children and guests of the Club rules, and to obey the requests of the Club Manager and his/her staff in the enforcement of these rules.
The Club Manager and his/her staff have complete authority to enforce all rules established by the Board of Directors. The Club Manager is authorized to prohibit or restrict any activity which in his/her judgment creates a danger to the participant/other persons in or about the Club grounds.
The Club Manager and his/her staff are authorized and directed to institute and enforce such additional rules as may be required from time to time to ensure the safety of those using Club facilities. Failure to obey may result in suspension.
The Club Manager may restrict the privileges of any member, child or guest for rules infraction for a period of time not to exceed 24 hours. Periods of restriction in excess of 24 hours shall be referred to the Board by the Club Manager.
ARGUING WITH THE LIFEGUARDS WILL BE GROUNDS FOR EXTENDED SUSPENSION OF PRIVILEGES.
Please report any complaints regarding enforcement of rules or actions of club employees in carrying out their duties to the Board of Directors.
- AN INDIVIDUAL MAY BE A GUEST, WHEN ACCOMPANIED BY A MEMBER, OF THE CLUB ONE TIME PER WEEK. Any exceptions due to certain circumstances must be approved by the Board. All guests must be registered by the host member at the admissions desk.
The number of guests may be limited at the discretion of the Board of Directors. No member family may sponsor more than six guests to admission on any one occasion without the approval of the Board of Directors.
BABYSITTERS IN SWIMMING ATTIRE MAY BE ADMITTED IN PLACE OF THE PARENT MEMBER UPON REGISTRATION BY THE PARENT MEMBER AND PAYMENT OF USUAL GUEST FEES.
In no event may babysitters or others entrusted with the care of children be admitted to the Club grounds if such person is a resident in the Club membership eligibility area and not a member of the Club.
Non-swimming babysitters entrusted by parent members with supervision of toddlers and young children may be admitted free of charge to the pool in the place of the parent member, when in full street attire, upon approval by the Club Manager and registration by the parent member at the admissions desk. Should the Board of Directors deem it advisable, and upon advance notice on the Club bulletin board, admission of guests may be restricted on holidays or on days set aside exclusively for Club membership activities.
GUEST FEES:
Monday-Friday $3.00 per day per person
Weekends/Holidays $3.00 per day per person
- The Club facilities may not be used until annual dues have been paid in full.
CHILDREN ENTERING SIXTH GRADE MAY STAY AT THE POOL UNACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
- Swimming season shall extend from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The Club will be open for general use as follows:
Mondays through Thursdays 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Fridays/Saturdays 11:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Sundays/Holidays 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Schooldays 2:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
On certain days (approximately three during the season), when swim meets are held at Flower Valley, the pool will open no earlier than 1:00 p.m.
A portion of the pool may be set aside by the Club Manager, subject to approval of the Board, for use by the swim or dive team for instruction, practice events and for lessons and life-saving instruction.
The pool may be closed when necessary, in the judgment of the Club Manager, for maintenance operations, or because of cold or inclement weather, electrical storms or other unusual circumstances.
- At no time shall alcoholic beverages of ANY type be permitted on Club property, except at Club sanctioned events. No one is authorized to grant exceptions to this rule.
- At no time shall any glass containers, bottles, etc. be permitted on Club premises.
- Food and beverages are permitted on the grassy areas only.
- No smoking is permitted on Club grounds.
- Ball playing is not permitted inside of the pool area. Inflatable balls may be used outside of the pool area in the grassy area, adjacent to the tennis courts.
- Running, pushing, acrobatics, wrestling, or other rough play causing undue disturbance on Club grounds or personal conduct endangering the safety of any person is forbidden.
- No abusive language shall be used at the pool or tennis courts.
- All injuries must be reported immediately to the Club Manager.
- No pets shall be permitted in the Club area, pool, or tennis courts.
- Vehicles shall not be driven at a speed greater than 10 MPH on Club grounds. Parking of vehicles shall be permitted in the parking lot ONLY during operating hours.
- Bicycles shall be parked in designated areas only, and shall not be left in the driveways.
- Loitering in the shower rooms is not permitted. Showers are to be used only on arrival and on leaving the pool.
- Umbrellas, tables and chairs may not be reserved.
- Unauthorized persons will not be permitted in the office or the mechanical equipment rooms.
SWIMMING POOL AND DIVING REGULATIONS
- The main pool shall be cleared of all children under the age of 16 for a fifteen-minute period before the start of each hour.
- No person shall use the pool unless lifeguards are on duty.
- Members and guests shall stay clear of lifeguard stands and not distract guards from their duties.
- No person shall be allowed to use the pool that has any skin disease, open sore, excessive sunburn, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge, any communicable or contagious disease. Exceptions will be made only upon presentation of a doctor's certificate.
- After walking on grassy areas, footbaths must be used prior to re-entering deck areas.
- All non-toilet trained children must wear swim diaper, rubber pants, and swimsuit.
- Swimming is not permitted in the diving well unless authorized by lifeguards.
- No Balls or toys of any type, except those made of sponge material and inflatable beach balls, may be used in the pool during the 45 minute general swim periods. No balls of any type may be used in the pool during the 15 minute adult swim periods. Use of balls may be prohibited entirely at the discretion of the Manager based on crowded conditions or other safety or comfort considerations.
- Life preservers or swim vests are only allowed in the wading pool. Children may wear water rings when accompanied by a parent in the main pool.
- Floatable water gear, fins, masks, snorkels, toys and similar devices are prohibited in the main pool except for special events per the direction of the Club Manager.
- Only bona fide swimsuits shall be worn in the water. Persons wearing shorts or other types of street clothing shall not be permitted in the water.
DIVING BOARDS
- Permission to use the diving boards is the parent’s responsibility.
- No diving is allowed in the diving area except from the boards; divers must execute dives straight off of the end of the board and must immediately swim out of the diving area upon surfacing, unless authorized by lifeguards.
- Only one person will be allowed on the ladder and board at any given time.
- No diving is permitted until the previous diver has visibly cleared the area below the board.
- Excessive bouncing on the board is prohibited.
- Children who have not passed the pool test are prohibited from entering the diving area of the pool.
WADING POOL
- Only children that are six years old or younger may use the wading pool.
- Toddlers without swimsuits are not allowed in the pools. Training pants, diapers or underwear are not acceptable; rubber pants under swimsuits are required for all diapered waders.
TODDLERS (6 YEARS OF AGE AND YOUNGER) ARE THE PARENT’S RESPONSIBILITY.

TENNIS RULES FOR FLOWER VALLEY BATH & RACQUET CLUB
PROHIBITED: ROLLERBLADING, BIKE RIDING OR ANY ACTIVITIES THAT MAY DAMAGE THE COURTS!!
HOURS:
COURTS CAN BE USED PRIOR TO 7 AM. HARD SURFACE COURTS ARE OPEN DAILY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. CLAY COURTS WILL BE OPEN IN THE SPRING WHEN WEATHER PERMITS PUTTING THEM IN PLAYING CONDITION. THEY WILL REMAIN OPEN INTO THE FALL SEASON UNTIL THE WATER IS SHUT OFF (USUALLY THROUGH OCTOBER).
ATTIRE:
ONLY SMOOTH-SOLED TENNIS SHOES, WITHOUT HEELS, ARE PERMITTED ON THE COURTS (NO RUNNING SHOES, SOCCER SHOES, CLEATS, ETC.). PLAYERS MAY NOT REMOVE SHIRTS. ALTHOUGH NOT MANDATORY, STANDARD TENNIS ATTIRE IS PREFERRED AND RECOMMENDED.
GUESTS:
ALL GUESTS MUST BE REGISTERED AND APPLICABLE FEES PAID AT THE POOL DESK.
MAINTENANCE:
PLEASE DO NOT BRUSH THE CLAY COURTS AFTER EACH USE. THIS LEADS TO OVER DRYING OF THE COURTS AND DECREASED "PLAYABILITY". YOU MAY CLEAN THE LINES, HOWEVER, WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED PLAYING.
EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO MAINTAIN THE COURTS AT OFF PEAK HOURS. PLAYERS MUST LEAVE THE COURTS DURING MAINTENANCE WHEN ASKED TO DO SO.
SOCIAL AND TEAM FUNCTIONS:
THE COURTS MAY BE RESERVED AT TIMES FOR VARIOUS MATCHES, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, TEACHING CLINICS AND AUTHORIZED TOURNAMENTS. THE BOARD MUST APPROVE OF THESE CLOSINGS, AND CLOSING NOTICES MUST BE POSTED IN ADVANCE SO THAT MEMBERS MAY HAVE ADEQUATE NOTICE. ON OCCASION, THESE ACTIVITIES MAY REQUIRE THAT ALL OF THE COURTS BE RESERVED.
COURT PLAY:
PLAY IS LIMITED TO ONE HOUR FOR SINGLES, AND 90 MINUTES FOR DOUBLES WHEN OTHER PLAYERS ARE WAITING.
PLAYERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOUBLE UP UNDER CROWDED CONDITIONS.
JUNIOR PLAYERS, 18 AND UNDER, MUST GIVE WAY TO ADULT
PLAY ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS AND AFTER 6:00 PM ON WEEKDAYS.
WEEKDAYS EXCEPTION: ADULTS PLAYING WITH JUNIORS FOLLOW THE AFOREMENTIONED RULE.
IF MEMBERS ARE WAITING TO PLAY, LADDER MATCHES MAY NOT EXTEND OVER THE HOUR LIMIT EXCEPT DURING THE HOURS OF 1:00 PM THROUGH 6:00 PM.
COURT COURTESY:
DO NOT WALK ACROSS OR BEHIND COURTS WHILE A POINT IS IN PLAY.
IF A BALL FROM AN ADJOINING COURT SHOULD ROLL ONTO YOUR COURT, RETURN IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BUT NOT WHILE PLAY IS IN PROGRESS.
PLEASE DO NOT USE MORE THAN THREE BALLS FOR PLAY OR PRACTICE WHEN THE ADJOINING COURT IS IN USE.
DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO KEEP BALLS IN YOUR OWN COURT WHEN RALLYING.
SPECTATORS ARE URGED TO REMAIN OUTSIDE THE COURTS OR IN THE GAZEBO.
HAVE FUN!! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A GAME OF RECREATION AND GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP.
