Last year was an exciting and successful year for our Swim, Dive, and Tennis teams. We are very pleased to welcome back Joey Mechak as Head Coach of the Flower Valley Frogs Swim Team and Sue Chen our Pre Team coach. Returning to coach our Dive team will be Head Coach Ashley Goins, and our new Assistant Coach Brittany Powell. Wayne Randolph will join us again to administer our outstanding Tennis Program.

The Club has planned lots of fun social events for all ages. Please look at the Social Calendar inside the newsletter for more details. I encourage you to explore all of the team instruction and social activities offered this summer. Participating on a team or in a social activity is the best way to maximize your membership.

The Club begins the year in a strong financial position. Our financial statement and budget for the 2007 season are included inside this newsletter. As our facility celebrates its 40th birthday this July we are pleased to have completed our first major renovation to the pool. The new white coat tile and coping was installed last spring and gave us a sparkling new surface for the pool. This spring, renovations to the bathhouse will start with resurfacing all interior floors with tile. Expect a fresh clean look for our Memorial Day opening.
Don’t forget to bookmark our new web site www.FVBRC.com. The board is continually working to improve the site’s content, usability and post timely information.

The Board invites you to the annual Spring Membership Meeting on May 9th at 7:30 PM at the Bauer Recreation Center. We will be voting on much needed changes to our membership descriptions and discussing the possible implementation of an ID system at the entrance to the pool.  Please join us to hear more about the events planned for this summer. We also welcome your input and ideas.

The Board asks its entire membership to help us have a safe and fun summer by respecting all of the Club rules and regulations and obeying the lifeguards on duty.  Please make sure that you and your guests, including children, comply with  entrance procedures at the guard station to ensure safe access to the Club facilities.

Finally, I would like to thank all of the past and current volunteer board members for their time, energy and commitment to our Club community. We will have three vacancies on the board for 2008.  Please consider joining our Board if you are interested in sharing your time, talents, and strong work ethic.
